Hey,

Just finished the upgrade to vBulletin 3.6

I don't see that many new features to be honest but it was needed as a security fix to stop the recent spammers that have been signing up and able to bypass everything vBulletin had to ban and stop registrations.

Less work for me and the mods now :)

There might still be some spam posts but I will have them deleted and once the users are banned/deleted this time it should stop them.

Time to see if there's anything new on 3.6 ;)

Yep, still deleting some threads now but they are bot accounts they registered in the last few days.

One thing...is it just me or is 3.6 not jumping to your new post?

It seems to go back to the first post in the thread for me every time on firefox.

Do you mean when you click on the 'last post' topic title on the main forum index? if so it all fine and dandy here, also on Firefox.

On the subject of spammers, perhaps im slightly cynical but something tells me the latest member 'cumdreamgirl' isn't here to discuss the merits and pitfalls of slow playing a set.

It's still happening.

Jelsoft/vBulletin have to get this sorted very quickly.

I'm having to delete members and posts everyday, it wouldn't be that big a problem but if the search engine spiders are on the site when those links are up, it means DeuceAce get punished for having bad links and it puts it down in the search engines.

Time to ask jelsoft what's going on.

EDIT: A lot of times I make a reply it goes to the first post in the topic, even if it has a few pages. Worked last time so not sure what's happening.

Have you upgraded all your templates to 3.6 as well?
