Has anyone bought their own Poker table? They usually come as a set, Poker table, chips, cards, and other miscellaneous items. It is quite expensive though, usually over $200 or $300. I'm thinking of getting one though, it would really spice up my home games. Do you think it is worth it?

Depends how much you are playing.

If it's always the same people that come around then everyone could chip in a little to buy it.

No point in one person paying for a table that the same people are using every week.

I have seen a guide to making your own but not sure if I would try that..I have a hard time putting together flat pack furniture ;)

I never though about asking them to put any money in, that is a good idea. I don't feel bad about asking for money, it's a good quality in some cases, but bad in so many more :-(
