My first gamble was in grade school with some collector cards :p
We would stake them up and if you choose the stake which has the highest bottom card, you win the card, if you don't you lose your betting card.

Oh the young days ;) We used to hid in the toilets to carry out our little den.

I was in Australia on vacation with my family and we went to a casino..I was underage (13 years old) and had to wait in a "kids area" and play video games and such.

I gave my father a 20 cent piece and asked him to play the slot machine closest to me because it was the only one I could see from the kid area, he dropped in the single coin and won $50 Australian dollars and gave it to me..I guess you could say I've been hooked since.

I really can't remember but I know it was when I was young (Around 8 or 9) when my whole family used to meet every friday night for cards.

That was a long time ago though.
I don't think I was actually into cards in a big way then, that didn't happen until I started playing poker myself but it wasn't holdem.

My first bet was at my friend's house, and he had these box of chips, and we started playing with them. At the end, I won all money so he and the other guys playing payed me 2 weeks later.

funny you say 10 pence....that was my first bet in school in scotland when I was 7...lol...we had a bet that i wouldn't get the strap for running into the gym and playing the triangle without the headmaster catching me......lol........I lost!!!
