Anyone seen the explosion at London airport on TV?

It was heard as far away as Holland :eek:

I would like to know how the oil got ignited in the first place.

Anywhere with that much oil must have good protection to stop this happening..

Could it be Terrorists!?
Is the UK the next target?....

If it can be heard from Holland... Then I am sure its quite massive and could not have been a minor over look or accident...

That's one BIG explosion.

A lot of Southern England was covered with smoke.

The police are investigating and treating it as an accident.

I think it was an oil supply or storage location, there could have been an accident but there should be very high protection around anything so explosive.

The UK has already been a target straightace, what about the london bombings? People were killed in that.

I saw this on the news, the smoke was amazing.

Seems like there were still some small fires blazing yesterday.

Most bombings are not as powerful as the one described... Heard from Holland...
Sounds more like a massive Volcano than an accident.

You have to remember it was a storage area for oil, that would be a lof of flammable liquid and could create a massive explosion.

That really must have cost a lot of money in oil.

Yeah I don't think this was terrorism..

They could of done a lot worse and this didn’t have any really major consequences, not what were used to in regards to terrorism.

Storage areas for oil... humm.... sounds like a good place to start for me :)
Imagine the rise in oil prices, taking out another plant would mean that prices could soar again...

Wow, that made me cry. I felt so bad for everybody who lives in London. If it was a terrorist I hope the go to hell. They shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff. Terrorism is getting out of hand. I hope the United States takes them all down. The World can't deal with all Terrorism/Terrorist junk. I hope world peace will be achieved in our time. We can't live in a world of fear.

Oh, It sounded like a terrorist attack. Well all big explosions do don't they. ;) We can blame them I guess, they are bad people anyway.
Well I hope best wishes to the families that we affected by this.

I think one person died, maybe two but there wasn't any indication that it was a terroist attack.

It was actually at an oil storage location, not at London airport like some news stations said here.
