[NEWBIE HOWTO] Roulette

The big wheel of chance
The goal in this game is to predict where does the ball land up in.

Ther following are the types of bets you can find.

Single Number Bets
From 1 to 36 and 0 and 00
Odds on single number bets are paid 1 to 35!!

Split Number Bets
You place the chip at the intersection of two numbers.
Same rules, just that if the ball lands on any one of the numbers, your pay out is 1 to 17

Row Number Bets
Same rules as number betting but now you place the chip at a horizontal row of 3 numbers ( eg 1,2,3 )
Pay outs are at 1 to 11
This applies to triple play as well

Corner number play
This happens when the ball lands on a group of 4 numbers.
the pay outs are 1 to 8

Topline play
Betting on the first 5 numbers of the top of the grid
Pay outs are 1 to 6

Line bet
6 numbers this time and the payout is 1 to 5

Column play
One whole vertical column eg. 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36
This allows you a payout of 1 to 2
But 0 and 00 are not in any of the columns

Dozens Bet
As the name says, 1-12, 13-24 and 25-36
The payouts are at 1 to 2

Red or Black
As the name you bet on either red or black numbers.
Payouts are at 1 to 1
0 and 00 are exculded

High or Low
1 to 18 are considers low numbers
19 to 36 are considered high numbers
The payout is 1 to 1
0 and 00 are exculded

Odd ir Even
Same as High or Low just that you bet on odd or evens this time.
Payout is 1 to 1
0 and 00 are exculded

the trick here is to record the occurance of things and its highly unlikely that things keep happening, you have to see what is the frequency of things.
And if possible record a few stats before going in with your chips.

With all these combination of odds you'd think there was at least one way of beating the casinos at roulette. Well they've got it pretty well covered but there are loopholes if you look carefully and do what the previous writer refered to, and that was recording your spins and looking for probabilities.
You need patience, discipline, a business-like mindset, a money management scheme and a robust strategy.

I've done just that and make money steadily

I dont know if anybody can "master" this game, it still depends on where the ball falls.I like roulette but i didnt like the way my money went down in minutes. To make it worse my brother said put one 5$ chip on "lucky number seven" i didnt listen to him and said that nobody could know that, and like you can guess a 7 it was.

Normally i dont play single numbers, i always bet red or black, or line or row bets.

I agree I don't think anyone can master this game but I must say I have tried. In this indian casino back in california they had a roulette machine....it was prolly 5-6 feet across the wheel and the ball was a pingpong ball I think, same size if not. around the enclosed wheel were computer screens where you could touch your bets. I drew a picture of the wheel and the betting board and went home and studied. What I came up with is that you can't make your wins a sure thing BUT you can minamize your losses. I would have to place @20 bets on the table (these were $.25 where I was) example...I would bet all the black numbers in the middle colum, then I would place bets on the other 2 colums and then some on red. now you have 90% of the table covered. Doing this kept me playing longer and gaining slowly... you really need to like the game or be getting free drinks to 'want' to do this lol

Oh ya the other thing...when you pick a number it is good to pick the numbers on either side of yours. I like black 6, to the left and right on the wheel are red 18 and 21 if I am remembering correctly. Now when I use to cry about the almosts when the ball hits mine and bounces to the next one, but now I have them bet too haha. I feel this helped me win more than betting a single number ever did.

Sorry guys,
I do help people with roulette but it's a private thing.
I didn't want to hide anything just want to tell it like it is with me.

Roulette can be beaten - end of story.

Kind regards
Steve

Can I ask why it is private Steve?

Are you selling something or charging for help?

It's just that I have always known forums as something public to help other people

How come you want people to email? Just interested in knowing what you are providing via email if you don't want to do it publicaly
